Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most famous part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she attends Passover seders.
